What’s happening guys?
Today on the 24th of April I went on the red carpet for the world premier of SNOWMEN at the School of Visual Arts Theatre I. My partner was not able to come today so I was a bit nervous, being the only kid reporter on the carpet. But, I went ahead and did my intro with the camera crew and then actors started pouring down the red carpet.
I first spoke with Christian Martyn who plays Lucas in the movie. Lucus is Billy’s (the main character) best friend. I thought the four kid actors seem to really like each other on the carpet. I interviewed Robert Kirbyson who is the screenwriter and director and asked him “I heard this is a true story, can you tell me more?” and he said “yes, the movie is based on a true story of a boy in Canada who was sick and wants to make his mark on the world.” I saw Doug E. Doug who also stars in this movie.
I even got to interview celebrity Ray Liotta and asked him “if it was hard or easy to work with kids in the movies?” He replied saying “it depends on the kids, some are great and some need a little handling.” He then asked me “how did you get this job?” and I joked “it’s a long story.”
I really had a great time and I held the microphone much better. I just hope Ameilia’s little brother is ok.
