The Tribeca Family Festival is proud to screen a collection of shorts made by young filmmakers. Downtown Youth Behind the Camera is presented as part of the Festival’s commitment to giving young filmmakers a venue for their creativity, and encouraging them to express themselves through this vital art form.

Following the screening, the participating student filmmakers will be led in a discussion by Robert Kirbyson, writer/director of Mpower Pictures feature film Snowmen starring Ray Liotta and Christopher Lloyd, which is part of the Tribeca Film Festival.  At 19 Robert was working as a self-taught animator for Sesame Street and wrote and directed several Canadian series. He wrote and directed the award-winning Web series CTRL for NBC/Universal.
