QHow do I know what to see and do?

A
  • Start with this website. The online Film Guide will be live on March 14. Later in March, you can browse the exciting slate of films, with everything you need to know—including showtimes, ticket sales, links to trailers and more.
  • Pick up a guide. Check out our Tribeca Film Festival Pocket Guide at various locations in New York City (locations to be announced, including the Festival Box Office).
  • Go Mobile. Browse our mobile film guide—sponsored by Stolichnaya Vodka—with your web-enabled phone or PDA. It's portable and paperless... link to m.tribecafilm.com!

QHow do I buy tickets?

A

For all ticketing information, including hours of operation, rules and regulations, pricing and package specifics, go to the Ticket Information page. In general, ticket prices range from $8 (late-night and weekday matinees) to $25 (some Tribeca Talks series). General evening and weekend screenings are $16. There are discounts available!

QWhat is going on besides movies?

A

The Tribeca Film Festival is much more than just movies. With the Tribeca ESPN Sports Film Festival, Tribeca Family Festival Street Fair, the various Tribeca Talks, and free panels for working and aspiring filmmakers, you could be quite entertained without entering a theater... not that we recommend that.

QHow do I get the latest information?

A
  • This website is continuously updated, so keep checking TribecaFilm.com/Festival as the Festival approaches.
  • Make sure to sign up for our newsletter for updates, last-minute additions, daily wrap-ups, and more.
  • Follow Tribeca Film Festival on Twitter. During the Festival, we will tweet about last-minute tickets, breaking news, and more.
  • Become a Fan of Tribeca Film Festival on Facebook. Share your fan photos and videos with fellow Tribeca fans.

QWhat makes Tribeca Film Festival screenings different from any other movie?

A
  • The director, cast, and crew are often on hand for a Q & A after the screenings.
  • The films, chosen from over 5,000 submissions, are from every corner of the globe and offer almost as many perspectives as New Yorkers have opinions.
  • Almost every film is a North American, international, or even world premiere, so you could be among the first to see the next big hit.

QAre the films rated?

A

Many of our films have not yet been reviewed by the Motion Picture Association of America and therefore do not have an MPAA rating (G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17). However, the film information provided in the online Film Guide and the printed Festival Guide will help you make informed choices.
